In general terms, hydraulic seals is used to describe the wide variety of devices used to seal reciprocating hydraulic equipment components. The selection of the optimum material for a given duty depends heavily on the operating conditions. Standard materials used are synthetic rubber, polyurethane, textured rubber, thermoplastic, resins, PTFE. For special applications, there are special materials: HNBR, EPDM, FPM, PA, POM, HPU, MVQ. Standard materials stand up to temperatures up to 250 °C , pressure of maximum 420 bars, speeds up to 5 m/s, excellent resistance to mineral hydraulic oils, emulsions water-oil or glycol-water, water. Alternative materials are available for a wide variety of other media.
